Adrian Portelli has revealed that The Block lottery winner has decided to take the $8 million prize money, but what about the houses? – realestate.com.au
Billionaire Adrian Portelli has announced the winner of the mega-giveaway of all The Block 2024 properties, taking home the $8 million cash alternative prize.
In Australia's most lucrative giveaway outside of lotteries, the rich list offered a choice or a substantial cash prize from all five Phillip Island houses from last season's The Block.
Ballarat resident and paramedic Holly won the lottery and pocketed the money.

Portelli said the prize money has already been deposited into his account and they are sending him a check.
He added that LMCT+ would not be offering another giveaway of the properties as a campaign of this magnitude was costly.
“I've bought (the houses) twice now,” he said.
“I think everyone forgets that the resort is half the cost. So it costs twice what we pay in marketing, administration and permits to run a promotion like this.
“Trying to get a refund for that is really hard.”
Portelli said he will most likely keep the residences for himself and possibly hold events there.
His shopping and rewards company, LMCT+, planned to hold the draw on Boxing Day, which was watched by around 75,000 followers on Facebook, but was postponed until the following day due to technical difficulties.
Holly, 34, was announced as the final winner as The Block 2024 winners Maddy and Charlotte, as well as Portelli, were showered with gold confetti.
“Oh my God, there's no way. I deliberately didn't watch the live stream because I thought it would be a failure,” Holly said at the time.
The billionaire made a $15 million gift in November after last year's season finale.
Block purchased Island Cove Villas at Phillip Island in 2023 for the 2024 season.
