The Georgia MLS has made other effective efforts to increase the availability of information for agents. Recently, GAMLS launched a mobile app called connectNOW to enable agents to access information from anywhere.

According to Georgia MLS CEO Richard Bowe, the organization wants to provide subscribers with the most accurate experience possible.

“For 63 years, the Georgia MLS has been committed to providing our subscribers with the most efficient and accurate real estate marketplace,” Boone said. “This geographic expansion and sharing of inventory data significantly increases opportunities for all participants. This cooperation will benefit thousands of agents across Georgia and ultimately allow them to provide a higher level of service to the clients they serve.”

Seven of the local MLSs included in the agreement are located in the southern region of the state. This is included in MLSs Albany Board of Realtors, Tift Area Council of Realtors, Crisp Area Council of Realtors, Thomasville Area Council of Realtors, Moultrie Board of Realtors, Southwest GA Board of Realtors and Douglas-Coffee County Board of Realtors.

The remaining MLSs are distributed to other parts of the state and the metro area. All agents operating in these areas can now access listings within the statewide MLS.

The Georgia MLS reported 21,701 active listings in December 2024, down nearly 5% from November's 22,933 listings. But that was more than 40% of the 15,429 listings in December 2023.

Homebuyers remained active in the Georgia market during the holiday season, with overall sales volume increasing from November to December. According to the Georgia MLS, member agents generated $3.4 billion in residential sales volume in December alone. Georgia MLS links it to this Federal Reserve and lower on holidays.

But December home sales surpassed new listings after a so-called 2-month trend. However, 9027 lists arrived in Georgia in December. As the housing market of 2025 takes shape, the Georgia MLS is urging subscriber agents to use better accessibility and new tools to serve clients.
