Some of Melbourne's biggest names have made major property moves in 2024.

From Kath & Kim's Jane Turner to Tigers legend Dustin Martin and Test cricketer James Pattinson, who has built and sold a number of properties.

Celebrity chefs from singer Julia Stone and Shane Delia to Andrew McConnell have also sold out, as have politicians Josh Frydenberg and Denis Napthine.

Billionaire Adrian Portelli bought all of The Block houses on Phillip Island this season for a whopping $15 million.

Retired Richmond legend Dustin Martin has also made a number of property plays in the residential and commercial markets, with his most recent sale in December.

Martin sold his investment property at 43 Kerferd Rd, Albert Park.


Property records show he bought the weatherboard home in May 2012 for $993,000 and began renting it out in 2015.

Brownlow and three-time Norm Smith winner and manager Ralph Carr, who has worked with Martin since the start of his football career, are also loaded with a price tag of more than $9 million.

Former Test cricketer-turned-builder James Pattinson has followed suit, selling homes he built in Melbourne's south-east.

The fast bowler, who made his Test debut in late 2011, has moved into the construction world and at the end of 2024, 45a McKay St sold for $890,000 in October.

A four-bedroom house at 65 Ruskin St, Elwood, renovated and sold by Pattinson.


At the beginning of the year, Pattinson sold for 3.47 million dollars. He paid $1.762 million for it in October 2019, ahead of a renovation and extension in 2021.

“It's been a really nice family home, it's got everything; “It's sad to see it go, but we're in the game of building and moving places now, so you can't keep them all,” he said.

Hospitality mogul and TV chef Shane Delia and his wife Maha sold for $2.289 million in September.

The Maha restaurateur bought the four-bedroom residence at 25 Dickens Street from a friend 10 years ago for $1.75 million — down from an original asking price of $2.6 million to $2.8 million.

Former Australian treasurer Josh Frydenberg has found a new owner for his four-bedroom Hawthorn home at 40 Illawarra Rd, only after it was offered at auction for $3.61 million – a bid of $3.5 million to $3.8 million.

25 Dickens St, Moonee Ponds - Herald Sun for real estate

He sold the four-bedroom house at 25 Dickens St, Moonee Ponds in September.


But the current chairman of Goldman Sachs Australia and New Zealand sold it the same day for $3.755 million.

Fitness influencer Steph Miller and her husband Josh sold their Palm Springs-style pad in Brighton East last week for nearly $7.8 million.

Kic fitness co-founder, Kic Podcast and model Steven bought a four-bedroom home in 2022 for $7 million.

The home, which features a pool, spa, outdoor barbecue terrace, 240-bottle wine cellar, steam room and three-car garage, is listed with an asking range of $7.35 million to $7.65 million.

Singer and songwriter Julia Stone sold her beloved first home in October for $925,000.

Known for being one half of the folk and indie duo with his brother Angus, he has vacated the two-bedroom apartment at 2/85 Westbury St, St Kilda, which he bought for $727,500.

The ARIA award-winning singer has even turned her second bedroom into a music studio.
