Prince Edward and wife Sophie 'unhappy' with disgraced Prince Andrew – realestate.com.au
Prince Edward and his wife Sophie are reportedly “unhappy” with plans to share a cottage with Prince Andrew over Christmas.
The royal couple were said to be “less than pleased” when they were told they would be meeting the disgraced Duke of York at Sandringham, according to reports.
However, their fears were allayed when Andrew rescinded his invitation under pressure to stay out of the limelight due to the “spy” scandal in China.
The scandal-plagued prince is expected to spend the holidays in Windsor with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, who described herself as a “nurse” looking after a “sad man”.

An insider told The Sun that Edward and Sophie were disappointed when they were “given servants' quarters” for their royal engagement in Norfolk last year.
Edinburghers thought this year's choice of Wood Farm, Prince Philip's former hiding place, was “a step up”, but were unhappy with the idea of a Christmas “cheek-in-cheek with the Yorkists”.
The pair were “relieved” when Fergie “convinced and convinced” Andrew to stay away, she said.
It was suggested that his decision was made easier as his daughters Beatrice and Eugenie had to spend Christmas with their in-laws rather than at Sandringham.
However, Beatrice will now travel to Norfolk with her husband Edo Mapelli Mozzi and their two-year-old daughter Sienna.
She is pregnant and has been advised that it is safer not to fly abroad to see her family.
